On April 11 and 12, 2026, COOKNRUN is partnering with Lagoped and Nunam Aventures for a small-group ski touring weekend at the Dent Parrachée refuge, in the heart of Vanoise.

A ski touring weekend in Vanoise, in the heart of the National Park
Between Maurienne and Tarentaise, the Vanoise National Park offers a unique playground. In spring, the days get longer, the snow transforms, and conditions become ideal for carving on the famous "corduroy."
The Dent Parrachée refuge, perched at 2511 m, will be our base camp. A warm and authentic place, perfect for alternating skiing, learning, and sharing moments.

This trip is not just a simple outing. The idea is to ski, of course, but also to better understand what happens in winter and spring terrain, and to leave with concrete benchmarks for your next adventures.

High mountain guide and emergency doctor (mountain rescue), Vivien brings a rare dual expertise. He will share simple and effective tools for managing the unexpected and emergency situations in isolated environments.
Ski touring weekend program
Day 1 – Saturday, April 11, 2026
Meeting at 8:30 am at the foot of the Grand Jeu chairlift in Aussois. After a briefing with the guides, ascent to the refuge via the ski lifts (hiker's pass included). Depending on the group's level and the weather, first outing towards a surrounding summit or pass, then safety and first aid workshop in the afternoon.
Day 2 – Sunday, April 12, 2026
Early departure to enjoy the best spring snow conditions. Objective towards a pass or a summit depending on the conditions. Application of the techniques learned the day before. Return to the refuge for lunch and departure after the meal.
