Les 5 conseils aventures d'Adrien Clémenceau

ENCOUNTER

Can you tell us more about yourself, where are you from?

"I was born in Angers in 1988, I grew up facing the river on the banks of the Loire."

What made you want to travel?

"I have been fortunate to live and work in different countries."

"My background is mainly linked to my studies in history and heritage, and I learned to speak foreign languages like English, German and Russian. And thanks to that, I had the chance to live and work in different countries like Latvia, Germany, Kenya and Georgia. All these stays gave me great life experiences and helped to shape my current view of the world."

Where do you feel most at ease?

"I live in Maine-et-Loire because it's where I feel most at home. Here, I can enjoy nature with its rivers and vineyards, and what's more, I have my family and friends nearby. It's the perfect place for me to prepare for my future adventures."

What advice would you give to our adventurers?

"Leave room for improvisation"

"In my opinion, to prepare for an adventure there is no need to aim too big or too far to start. You have to take advantage of your immediate environment because it allows you to gain confidence to try out your first experiences of bivouacs or micro-adventures. There is not always need to invest a lot of money to go on an adventure, a good old vintage bike can carry you for thousands of kilometers. For me it is important to feel the "call" of regular outings like short races. They promote endurance.

Above all, let's not forget that adventure is adventure and that even if you think you've thought of everything, there will always be a lot of unexpected things. So leave room for improvisation."

A final word for the end?

“They say little streams make big rivers, so I think every day can lead to big adventures!”
